Tuesday 25th November - walk ***** – Landguard beach – sunny
periods.
I missed Mags early morning prom walk as didn’t even wake up but ti was a
nothing sunrise being too cloudy! Then after the usual word games Mag
suggest we head down to Landguard for a walk so we could visit Lidl on the
way home! We parked up at 10.30 in Manor Terrace in lovely sunshine with
the wind NNW dead off which meant a pretty flat sea but with some
impressive wave breaking so for a change instead of walking through the
Nature Reserve we headed to the beach where we were sheltered from the
chilly breeze! It was amazing walking along the beach to the River Orwell
as the waves rolled in, also enjoying the day were a few sea anglers and
dog walkers, just brilliant! The large dredger was moored in the mouth of
the Orwell today with it’s huge bach hoe digger arm on board! We walked a
little way up the Orwell but it was quite breezy here so we returned to the
beach for the return walk! We were watching the spray blow off the breaking
waves forming short burst of rainbow colours, then we looked up and over
Felixstowe there were some dark clouds indicating a passing shower and
noticed half a rainbow as we walked along the section of concrete sea wall
which really made our day:) We then had a quick trip round Lidl before home
to sort out my pics, lunch and walk round Mary’s for a chat over a cuppa!
